The internal circuitry of the Soundlazer is very complex.  A digital signal processor fine tunes the audio before sending it to the oscillator which produces an electrical signal that turns on and off forty thousand times per second.  This 40KHZ signal is amplified and sent to the 39 ultrasonic emitters that produce the directional audio beam emitted by the Soundlazer.
